For more than 30 years, Michael Petro has practiced primarily in the area of criminal law and personal injury. Throughout his career, Mike has handled thousands of criminal cases and has tried hundreds of criminal jury trials. He has also tried approximately twenty personal injury jury trials to verdict. He has an AV peer review rating with Martindale Hubble and was selected as a member of the Utah Legal Elite in Criminal Law by Utah Business Magazine for the years 2004, 2005 and 2007 thru 2010. He is a member of both the Utah and National Associations for Justice and the National College for DUI Defense. He served as a visiting criminal and constitutional law professor in 2006 and 2007 for the Leavitt Institute for International Development in Kiev, Ukraine. He is a member of the board of directors for the Utah County Public Defenders’ Office and has served on the Utah State Judicial Nominating Committee. Mike earned a B.S. degree from the University of Utah and his J.D. degree from Pepperdine University. He currently resides in Springville, Utah with his wife and children.
